Coming from several generations of custom home builders, Emery spent lots of time on local job sites growing up. Her grandmother was also a local artist and gallery owner who taught her how to paint and inspired her to hone in on her creative abilities.  After experiencing the grit of residential construction and the originality art allowed her to foster, she became eager to explore architecture and design.

Upon receiving her Masters in Architecture from the University of Colorado Denver, she practiced architecture in both Fredericksburg & New Braunfels. Emery led efforts in retail developments, distilleries, healthcare, commercial, multi-family housing, and mixed use projects. She is adept in both commercial and residential architecture.  Emery and her husband Jeremy live in Canyon Lake, Texas with their two children.
